An optical transceiver is a transceiver module for switches and some routers. The 10304 manufactured by Extreme Networks is a generation SFP+ transceiver. It is connected to the SFP + port of the switch (switch), on the other hand, a fiber optic cable with a connector is connected to it. Given proper operation, the bandwidth reaches up to 10 Gbps. There are several types of cable that allow you to connect the target equipment to the transmission medium: twisted pair, multimode fiber and single mode.
